![]() Perhaps a more interesting comparison might be between both of these apps and the default Text app. What would sell me on an alternative text editor at this point would be the ability to deal with large documents easily, but you don't really cover that. The biggest issue to me in terms of writing on my iPhone is the lag you get when dealing with documents larger than a simple paragraph or two. fullscreen mode doesn't cover the entire screen - gap on the bottom. Again, I can email a document to myself from the default Text application in a shorter time frame and with less hassle than that. WriteRoom in particular adds only document syncing and the idea of dealing with my documents in a simulation of an iPhone that is loaded in a browser sounds really unwieldy to me. IMO neither app seems to have any real reason to use them as opposed to the default Text editor. I found that a bit odd also because having the trash can there on the bar is exactly how the default Text app in iPhone works and I have found it quite useful to have it there. It's too bare-bones for book projects or screenplays, but, for shorter works, it can. You give a fairly thorough overview of WriteRoom explaining the whole app in detail, but then you say some stuff about how confusing the icons are in TextGuru and then only actually describe one of them (the trash). WriteRoom is an inexpensive Mac writing app with a less-is-more approach that helps you focus on your words. You don't have to click any button or do anything.just speak it into the phone.I'm a little disappointed that you kind of dis TextGuru quite a bit without really explaining how it works. This is a super convenient thing I've come to rely on. I'll just verbally say all these things into the phone and sure enough, it'll remind me of allllll my obligations the next day. ![]() "Remind me at 7:30pm I have a Sumo dinner."
